LAS VEGAS – Marty Rubin, CEO for Smart City, was recently named the Regional Entrepreneur of the Year in the area of technology by Ernst & Young, a major international accounting and consulting firm, during the 18th annual Regional Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Gala held in Orlando, Fla.
As a regional winner, Rubin will be inducted into the Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame, which celebrates the achievements and contributions of its inductees. He was selected from a group of more than 100 nominees in the Western United States. Rubin is also eligible for the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Winners of this competition will be announced in November in Palm Springs, Calif. and will continue to Monte Carlo for the World Conference held in May 2006.
Rubin has been with Smart City for more than 10 years, and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s telecommunications business, including operations, finance, strategic planning and all Federal Communications Commission and Public Utilities Commission regulatory matters.
