LAS VEGAS, Nev.
On July 28, Smart City Networks President Mark Haley will discuss how the event industry is responding to the increasing demand for robust Wi-Fi and other technology services at convention centers as a panelist during VenueConnect, the 86th Annual Conference and Tradeshow of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) in Phoenix, Ariz.
The educational session is entitled "Wi-Fi – Free or Not? That is the Question!" It will focus on the growing demand among meeting planners for free or heavily discounted Wi-Fi and what the business model for this service could look like in the future. The session will discuss the issue from the perspectives of meeting planners, venue managers and technology professionals.
The panelists will discuss what some venues are currently doing to address the issue and how the industry should respond to the requests for free or heavily discounted technology services.
"As an event technology provider, Smart City Networks is working to respond to the requests of our customers while still ensuring that every exhibitor and attendee has Internet connectivity that is reliable and meets their individual needs," Haley said.
